About Schad Naturopathic Clinic

We offer treatment by senior student interns working under the supervision of naturopathic doctors. The Schad Naturopathic Clinic has provided natural health care for over 30 years, with approximately 20,000 yearly patient visits.

Naturopathic medicine focuses on the root cause of illness or disease. Promoting wellness and prevention, your health-care team will consider your whole-person health. Therapies can be used independently or with other conventional medical treatments. Your Schad Naturopathic Clinic health-care team works with you to develop a personalized approach to treatment and lifestyle changes.
In Recognition of Robert Schad
Robert Schad was born in 1928 in Karlsruhe, Germany. From an early age, he was inspired to appreciate the virtues of naturopathic medicine by his mother, Ruth, a medical doctor with a strong focus in naturopathic care. After emigrating to Canada in 1951 with just $25 and a letter of recommendation from Albert Einstein, Robert started a small tool-making business that he would eventually build into Husky Injection Molding, a global leader in the machinery industry. Throughout his life and career, Robert has been a passionate advocate and philanthropist for naturopathic medicine and the environment.

Robert Schad’s commitment to naturopathic education has left an enduring mark on the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) and on the advancement of naturopathic medicine in Canada. As Board Chair of CCNM from 1993 to 1997 and a lifelong donor, Robert helped build CCNM into one of the largest naturopathic teaching institutions in the world.
